Principle of Operation
EMERALD (IZUMRUD) devices of the models designed in the year of 2006, that is,EMERALD-M1, EMERALD-K1 and EMERALD-K1-A, have different hydraulic systems of water purification and conditioning.
All the patented manufacturing processes of water purification which take place in EMERALD devices are directed to water purification from microorganisms of all the species and forms, from microbial toxins, from high-density metals ions and from harmful organic compounds, and to imparting physiologically functional properties to water, as well.
There is the following compulsory (basic) sequence of manufacturing processes of purification included in each manufacturing process of water purification which takes place in any of modifications of EMERALD devices representing the models designed in the year of 2006:
- Water processing in anodic chamber of electrochemical reactor, carried out with the purposes of microorganisms and microbial toxins destruction, of oxidation decomposition of organic compounds and of the active oxygen carrier’s properties imparting to water.
-
Separation of a certain portion of anodically processed water, carried out in floatation reactor simultaneously with separation of coagulated particles of organic material which have stuck to oxygen or nitrogen bubbles. Floatation reactor performs the function not only of separator destined for coagulated organic particles separation, but also of mixing reactor; in this reactor water flowing process is slowed down and the period within which high-activity oxidants generated during anodic water processing produce their action on microorganisms and microbial toxins is, respectively, extended.
-
Water processing in catalytic reactor, carried out with the view to transform the chlorine-containing oxidants generated during anodic water processing into peroxides and hydroperoxides; if it is possible, there should be low quantity of chlorine-containing oxidants taken.
-
Water processing in cathodic chamber of electrochemical reactor, carried out with the purposes of high-density metals ions transformation into insoluble hydroxides and of anti-oxidant properties imparting to water. The quantity of water exposed to cathodic processing in EMERALD-M1, EMERALD-K1 and EMERALD-K1-A devices is lower than the quantity of water exposed to anodic processing. This permits to accomplish more full high-density metals ions transformation into insoluble hydroxides, and ensures more significant alteration of water oxidation-reduction potential towards anti-oxidative properties strengthening, as well.
-
High-density metals hydroxides elimination, which takes place in external replaceable cartridge filter. This cartridge filter permits to easily stop penetration of insoluble particles of high-density metals hydroxides and hardness salts, with the latter fact providing water transparency and ensuring deposit absence. At the same time, there are no microorganisms detected on the filtering material and filtration takes place under the conditions which facilitate cartridge service life extension.
