Modificated family of EMERALD devices – Emerald-M1, Emerald-K1 and Emerald-K1-A – was launched in 2006. New Emerald models offer the following advantages:

- due to new hydraulic scheme the intensity of cathode treatment of water has increased which makes purified water gain stronger anti-oxidant properties;

- water incoming and wastewater outgoing lines are equipped with quick disconnect coupling allowing their quick and easy replacement when connected to water treatment stationary systems; installation under sink; change of length of the lines depending on specific operating conditions etc.

Quality of water purification in Emerald-M1, Emerald-K1 and Emerald-K1-A devices is controlled by way of reduction of water flow speed.

Which EMERALD model to choose?

Sequences of water treatment and antioxidant properties enrichment are identical in all EMERALD models:

  • First - Anode treatment for the purpose of microbial decontamination, organic impurities destruction by means of their oxidation;
  • Second – liquid-phase catalytic oxidation of organic impurities with elimination of coagulated organic particles mixed with some water in flotation chamber;
  • Third – destruction of chlorine-oxygen oxidants (chlorine dioxide, hypochlorous acid) at catalyst with simultaneous transformation of them into oxygen-containing oxidants and further oxidation of organic impurities;

  • Final – cathode treatment of water for the purpose of reducing of heavy metal ions into form of insoluble hydroxides, low redox potential water transformation by way of electrons efficiency increase (providing antioxidant protection effect).

EMERALD-M1 device incorporates 1 MB-11 element and provides the established sequences of water treatment on condition that water passes distance equal to 20cm through electrode chambers. EMERALD-K1 and EMERALD-K1-A incorporate 2 MB-11 elements which means that water passes double distance through anode chambers and then double distance through cathode chambers, i.e. about 40 cm. As one of the important factors of any chemical process is the time of reaction, EMERALD-K1 and EMERALD-K1-A devices demonstrate better results of water treatment in terms of heavy metals ions reduction and low redox potential water transformation by 25-35 % on average.
