Connection
Mount unit vertically using two screws near the sink, tap water source and electric power source. It is possible to mount the device on the kitchen railing with the help of hooks (as shown in the photo). Connect the enclosed faucet adaptor to water faucet. Connect the incoming tap water line of the device to faucet adaptor. Connect the device to the electric power source. Direct the outgoing waste line and purified water line (marked with white band) to the sink. Open the faucet, set up water flow at 60 l/h which allows filling of a one liter container in approximately 1 minute. Light indicator will turn on when water starts flowing through the device. It is recommended to let flow for one minute for stabilization of electrochemical process of water treatment. Lower flow of water will go to drain out of waste line. The device is ready for use, direct the purified water line (marked with white band) to the collecting container.
Installation of the device under sink
To make the EMERALD device easier for use we offer installation of the device under sink. Install additional faucet for purified water. Make additional pipe-bend with globe valve from header water-pipe (cold water). If the quality of tap water is poor it is recommended to install mechanical purification filter before EMERALD. 25-50 micron cartridge will fit for protection against sand, rust and other mechanical admixtures. Electromagnetic valve is installed after the mechanical purification filter. Mount the device vertically under sink , connect the device to electromagnetic valve, purified water faucet and drainage by quick disconnect coupling. Quick disconnect coupling is necessary for de-scaling of the device. Electric circuit is made in such a way that when pressing the switch installed close to purified water faucet the voltage goes to electromagnetic valve which then opens. The water flows through the device and goes out of water faucet.
Valve of purified water faucet (if installed) should not be closed. Leaving the device under pressure may cause malfunction. Water is blocked by electromagnetic valve in the device’s inlet only.
