Long-term experience of AQUACHLOR operation in Russia and abroad demonstrated:

  • higher disinfecting ability of the oxidants solution in comparison with all other methods of disinfection;
  • absolute safety of water disinfection process;
  • no formation of halogen by-products;
  • effective destruction of phenols – source of unpleasant savor;
  • removal of iron by quick oxidation and oxides precipitation;
  • water turbidity removal;
  • no formation of resistant cultures of microorganisms;
  • no toxicity due to human and warm-blooded animals friendly active agents;
  • ecological compatibility, self-degradation ability and no accumulation in environment;
  • safety for people and environment;
  • maintenance of favorable epidemiologic situation due to long aftereffect of disinfecting ability and no possibility of contagion of any aetiology through water-supply;
  • removal of biofilms from inner surface of water-supply tubing;
  • minimal power consumption and high rate of salt conversion;
  • improvement of organoleptic properties of disinfected water;
  • on-site "pure production" of disinfecting solution with no contaminating main and by-products;
  • high economy and payback;
  • compactness and so on.

Field experience

First AQUACHLORs were manufactured in 1998.

During two recent years over 200 AQUACHLOR devices were installed at various sites. Modularity allows to install the necessary number of AQUACHLOR devices at every water treatment station. For example: at the Engels Water Treatment Station 16 AQUACHLOR devices with oxidants’ (chlorine equivalent) total output capacity of 8kg/hour (192 kg/24 hours) disinfect 125000 cubic meters of drinking water per 24 hours. In the city of Krasnoarmeisk one AQUACHLOR-500 device with oxidants output capacity of 0,5 kg/h (12 kg/24 h) provides complete suppression of bacterial constituent in 25000 cubic meters of treated wastewater. In the city of Gavrilov Yam eight AQUACHLOR-500 devices disinfect wastewater of petroleum refinery.

In Novosibirsk, Orenburg, London AQUACHLOR devices successfully operate in large swimming pools (over 2000 cubic meters).
