In the year of 1995 Bakhir V. M. developed a process of ion-selective electrolysis with diaphragm which was later on implemented in AQUACHLOR devices. In the year of 1996 Bakhir V. M. and Zadorozhniy Yu. G. created the first AQUACHLOR device. Since that time the work on the technology and AQUACHLOR devices continuously performed under the direction of the authors has resulted in their improvement and has made them more compact, reliable and convenient.
AQUACHLOR devices are the compact and safe devices which ensure oxidants mixture solution manufacturing of sodium chloride aqueous solution, with oxidants mixture solution represented by chlorine, hypochlorous acid, chlorine dioxide, ozone and hydroperoxide compounds. These devices are manufactured in the form of modules ensuring output capacity of 30 to 500 grams of oxidants mixture per hour; the devices manufacturers are “Scientific-and-production Association “EKRAN”, JSC, as well as “Laboratory of Electrotechnology ”, LLC (“LET”, LLC).
Special patented construction of electrochemical reactors consisting of FEM-7 flow electrochemical modular elements, as well as the technology of electrochemically activated oxidants mixture solution synthesis – that is, ion-selective electrolysis with diaphragm, – permit to generate oxidants mixture solution which possesses unique efficiency and unique properties and is irreplaceable for drinking water, swimming-pools water and waste waters disinfection, and which is applied, more particularly, in manufacturing processes that are implemented in food industry and in other industries, as well.
Many years' experience of AQUACHLOR devices operation and of electrochemically activated oxidants mixture solution application as a disinfecting agent, gained at many drinking water purification stations, at swimming pools, at pools for reptiles and fish constructed at farms, at waste-water treatment stations operated in Russia and in the foreign countries, permitted to reveal the following features:
