The Republic of Belarus. The city of Gomel. November 14, 1997. No 130.

V. K. Gusarov, the chief medical officer of the city stomatological polyclinic No 4:

“There is 1 STEL device operated at our institution for the second year; depending on alternating demand, this device manufactures up to 210 kg of neutral catholytic anolyte (ANK) every day, with the above indicated quantity making 4,83 tons per month. Operating regime includes 1 shift, 1 person is engaged in the device maintenance. In our polyclinic anolyte is applied for disinfection of stomatological instruments, working surfaces, medical syringes and materials and for overall cleaning procedures, as well.

The costs incurred in connection with STEL device were recompensed within 3 months of its operation.

Thanks to autonomy gained regarding provision with disinfecting agents, we became independent of the disinfecting agents possible absence at storehouse. On the whole, it turned out that it is convenient to work with anolyte. As the result of anolyte application at our institution, the quality of overall cleaning procedures has improved and the quantity of instances of microflora growth observed in washouts has decreased.”
