V. I. Pyatkina, the chief medical officer of tuberculous association of the city of Saratov:
“… Within the period of STEL devices operation and neutral anolyte application in tuberculous institutions of Tuberculous Association of the city of Saratov there were the following conclusions made:
- Neutral anolyte application permitted to facilitate the disinfection regime fulfilment at all of the tuberculous institutions;

There is no necessity in other disinfecting agents purchasing;
- There have been 536 washouts from various points and instruments made after processing with neutral anolyte with the purpose of sterility level determination, - there has been no pathogenic flora growth detected in any of the cases;
- There couldn’t be a single case of neutral anolyte application mentioned in which there was any allergic reaction observed with the tuberculous institutions employees;
- Along with instructions included in procedural recommendations, there were spittoons containing sputum and mediums characterised by positive inoculation of tuberculous microbacteria poured with neutral anolyte in the ratio of 1 : 2 with respect to pathological material;
- furthermore, there has been pouring of blood and sputum shed on the floor surface performed;
- Anolyte application as the main disinfecting agent is economically sound, taking into consideration that common table salt cost is equal to 2,0 rub./kg versus the cost of chloramine equal to 54 rub./kg or the cost of new-generation disinfectants making 60-84 rub./kg. Economic effect of neutral anolyte application by 64 times exceeds the analogous showing obtained for other disinfectants and makes 1 382 600 roubles.”
