Comment on Neutral Anolyte Solutions Application for the Purposes of Disinfection

“Disinfection station”, Public Institution of Omskaya district certifies that neutral anolyte solutions (ANK) generated using the method of electrochemical synthesis of aqueous sodium chloride solution carried out in STEL-10N-120-01 device (model 40-01) manufactured by “Scientific-and-production association “Ekran”, JSC are entered in the List No 0028-96 of domestic and foreign disinfecting substances allowed for application on the territory of the Russian Federation, including the territory of Omskaya district, the List being dated March 06, 1996.
Neutral anolyte having different concentrations for a certain exposition (Procedural directives MU 17-12, approved on February 14, 1997 by the head of the State Sanitary-and-epidemiological Supervision Department of the Ministry of Health of Russia) is recommended for disinfection of the external environment facilities installed in patient-care and disease-prevention institutions, in infectious diseases pestholes (various surfaces available in premises, articles required for nursing, dishware, linen, toys, sanitary-and-technical equipment, materials required for cleaning and others), in case there are infections of bacterial (including tuberculosis), viral aetiology (including various types of hepatitis characterised by parenteral transmission mechanism), Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection and mycotic (including various kinds of candidosis and dermatophytosis) aetiology detected.
In addition to coarse disinfection (as indicated above), neutral anolyte solutions are recommended for:- disinfection of the articles of medical-purpose manufactured of metal, glass, rubber, polymeric materials;
- pre-sterilisation cleansing of the articles of medical-purpose manufactured of the same materials. It is permitted to combine disinfection with pre-sterilisation cleansing;
- medical-purpose articles sterilisation.
Disinfection, pre-sterilisation cleansing and sterilisation quality control is exercised in accordance with commonly accepted procedures, its frequency being determined by normative-and-technical documentation and by the orders of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
This preparation has a permit for being used during clinical testing carried out in the field of neutral anolyte solutions application as anti-infective agent in public health protection and stomatology practice, in case of septic conditions, as well as for suppurating surfaces and skin coverlets processing.”
