Solutions Manufactured in STEL-10N-120-01 device: Comment on Their Application for the Purposes of Disinfection

V. I. Mishugin, the chief medical officer of the city clinical hospital No 52:
“Administration of the city clinical hospital No 52, the city of Moscow, reports that since May, 1998 there have been two STEL-10N-120-01 devices installed and actively operated in surgical building of the hospital. Within the passed period the solution manufactured was used for disinfection of the operational-and-surgical department, of haemodialysis department, of the 1-st and the 2-nd surgical departments and of urology and gynaecology departments, as well. Bacteriological researches carried out by the hospital laboratory and by Sanitary-and-epidemiological Station laboratory testified that there was no microorganisms growth detected in any of the cases. It should be mentioned that the researches were carried out so as to obtain the comparative characteristic with respect to sodium hypochlorite. With the growth detected in two cases after processing with sodium hypochlorite, there was no growth detected in these cases after processing with anolyte solution.
In the 1-st surgical department the solutions are applied for the purposes of suppurating wounds processing and treatment. There is processing of “artificial kidney” apparatuses carried out in haemodialysis department.
In the 4-th dermatological department anolyte solution is applied during treatment of pyodermas and dermatitis of various aetiologies.
The first results obtained during the work with STEL-10N-120-01 device system are the evidence of practical value of the solutions manufactured and of the prospects of the aforementioned solutions application with therapeutic purposes.”
