Comment on STEL-10N-120-01 devices Supplying for the Purposes of Disinfection, Pre-sterilisation Cleansing and Sterilisation

“In view of high efficiency of washing, disinfecting and sterilising solutions that are manufactured in STEL devices, Federal State Sanitary-and-epidemiological Supervision centre recommends them for wide application in patient-care and disease-prevention institutions, in children’s institutions, in public catering establishment, at food industry enterprises, in private life, in special-purpose institutions and so forth.
These devices have been designed in All-Russian Scientific-and-research and Experimental Institution of Medical Technique (VNIIIMT) attached to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and are manufactured in lots and sold by “Ekran”, Scientific-and-production Association, the city of Moscow.
Large quantities of electrochemically activated solutions that are generated in STEL devices could be manufactured directly at the places of their application; these solutions do not require paskaging and transportation, they are manufactured of available and cheap components (water and table salt), these solutions are ecologically safe, they are not accumulated in external environment, they are characterised by high sporacidic activity (that is, ensure sterilisation) and are applied for treatment of infections of bacterial (including tuberculosis), viral (including various types of hepatitis) and mycotic aetiology.
There has been abundant experience of these solutions application accumulated in patient care institutions of such cities as the city of Moscow, of Saint-Petersburg, Saratov, Chelyabinsk and of the other cities of the Russian Federation. Based on the experience gained in the city clinical hospitals No 15 and No 52 of the city of Moscow, it could be stated that the daily demand for these solutions which could ensure antiepidemic regime observation makes up to 10 tons per day.
The STEL devices self-repayment period doesn’t exceed 4 – 5 weeks. The application showings of solutions which are manufactured in STEL devices exceed the respective showing of the known anolytes (including foreign ones).
Procedural directives on application of neutral ANK-anolyte manufactured in STEL-10N-120-01 devices are approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation under No 01-19/48-11 of August 10, 1993. The plants output capacity makes 40 to 1000 litres/hour. Depending on output capacity, their cost can be equal to 6300 to 60000 roubles per one device.”
