Comment on Electrochemically Activated Solutions Introduction for Application in Veterinary Practice in the City of Saint-Petersburg

“The experience of the electrochemically activated solutions (hereinafter referred to as – ECA-solutions) practical application either on the territory of Russia or abroad has demonstrated their advantage over traditional washing, disinfecting and sterilising substances.
ECA-solutions used as anti-infective agents, disinfectants and therapeutic preparations permit to prevent series of diseases which are common for human beings and animals.
ECA-solutions are widely introduced for application as preventive disinfectants to be used in meat- and fish-processing technologies, as well as for application during process waters conditioning.
The main advantages of ECA-solutions over traditionally applied substances are their economy, compactness, treatment exposition reduction to 1 hour during the process of disinfection, ecological safety and biocompatibility.
ECA-solutions are included in the list of domestic and foreign disinfecting agents which are allowed for application on the territory of the Russian Federation.
On the basis of the above-stated facts, the Veterinary Medicine Administrative Board of the city administration recommends ECA-solutions for application either in veterinary practice or at meat- and fish-processing enterprises irrespective of patterns of their ownership, with this application being directed to ensure veterinary-and-sanitary well-being of the city.”
