“Scientific-and-production association “Ekran”, JSC – is a company which unites the following institutions within the framework of unified governing body:

• All-Russian Scientific-and-research and Experimental Institute of Medical Technique attached to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation,
  
• Russian Academy of Medical-and-Technical Sciences,
  
• Research-and-experimental plant of Medical Technique.
  

“Scientific-and-production association “Ekran”, JSC simultaneously represents the integral part of each of these structures, as far as during many long years of team-work the employees of these organizations transformed to a single staff team. For more than 20 years this big staff team, which accomplishes the tasks representing great importance for people’s lives and health, has been managed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Leonov Boris Ivanovich, who is the President of Academy of Medical-and-Technical Sciences of the Russian Federation.

Electrochemical Medical Technique Department managed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Bakhir Vitold Mikhailovich, is one of the departments of “Scientific-and-production association “Ekran”, JSC.

There are the following tasks accomplished by this department:

• drinking water purification and disinfection at large-scale municipal water purification stations,
  
• swimming pools water purification and disinfection,
  
• waste waters treatment (AQUACHLOR devices),
  
• water purification and conditioning under the field and home conditions (EMERALD devices),
  
• patient-care and disease prevention institutions, public catering establishments, food industry enterprises, cattle-breeding farms and poultry factories provision with ecologically clean washing, disinfecting and sterilizing solutions manufactured in STEL devices.
  

The work being fulfilled in the department includes researches, designing and manufacturing of the products prototype models, certification, organisation of serial production and commercial selling of electrochemical technique, including subsequent technical warranty ensuring of its operation at the customers’ facilities.

The unique electrochemical devices, which are manufactured by “Scientific-and-production association “Ekran”, JSC and by “LET”, LLC, and patented in more than in 50 countries, have no analogues. However, there exist such companies which manufacture their own devices under the same name – STEL – or under the denominations that represent the derivatives of this name, thereby violating intellectual property rights of the technology devisers. Unfortunately, saving of money to be allocated for advertising doesn’t serve for the benefit of the offered devices quality.
